2024 Spring CEO Power Breakfast
Workforce Chair to speak at Power Breakfast
The Chairman of the Texas Workforce Commission will be the featured speaker at the Greater Taylor Chamber of Commerce’s CEO Power Breakfast on May 23.
“Commissioner Daniel is a great person to hear from right now,” Chamber President Tia Rae Stone said. “His commitments to promote Texas businesses and desire to make our workforce second to none, are exactly what we are trying to do locally.”
The Power Breakfast is a twice-yearly series designed to bring business leaders together to hear and talk about the issues they are facing.
"We are excited to begin this twice-yearly series," Stone said. "In addition to connecting with the people leading the future of business across the state, we hope we will learn from our CEOs, owners and managers what kinds of services they need here in Taylor."
The Power Breakfasts kick off at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites, 180 Carlos G Parker Blvd. NW.
The event will also include an update from the Chamber’s Advocacy Committee.
“Everyone with an interest in the Taylor area business landscape will want to attend this event to connect with Daniel and help him hear directly from you what local businesses need,” Stone added
Individual tickets are $50 for Chamber members and $65 for non-members. Seating is limited to 60 and registration ends at 5 p.m. Friday, May 17.
Samsung, Tierra Grande Real Estate and Taylor Housing Authority are sponsoring this event.
Daniel was appointed by Gov. Greg Abbot and took office July 29, 2019.
Prior to joining TWC, Bryan served for four and half years on Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s senior staff where he led the Office of Economic Development and Tourism – which included the Texas Enterprise Fund, Events Trust Fund, Governor’s University Research Initiative, Texas Tourism Office, Texas Music Office, Texas Film Commission, Texas Workforce Investment Council, the Economic Development Bank, the Texas Military Preparedness Commission and the State of Texas Mexico Office.
Bryan’s tenure as the Texas State Director for Rural Development for President George W. Bush and as Chief Administrator for Trade and Business Development at the Texas Department of Agriculture, along with his private sector experiences as a marketing executive and member of the board of directors, have provided him with valuable insights on economic development and workforce issues.
Stone said the Power Breakfast series is designed so speakers can share their unique strategies for facing specific business challenges, and to bring the business community together for critical information and valuable networking. The next one will be in October.
